Quickie Review - The Simpsons

Go see it.

I took Ann, her son and the Evil one to the movie this past Saturday. Ann, who doesn't like the show, was actually caught to be giggling at times. She won't claim this to be the funniest movie ever, so non-fans of the show won't piss themselves laughing.

Being a wayward fan (the show has not been as funny as it was in the earlier years) I was going into this not having seen the show in a year. I was not disappointed. There were moments I laughed fairly hard and others I kinda chuckled.

Homer is Homer and steals the whole movie. People have complained (mildly) that they wanted to see more of the supporting cast. Well, the show is normally about the Simpsons, not Springfield. So that is why the movie kept focus on the family and their story. I thought that was much better than shooting off in many other directions.

Basically - go see it fan or not. I think you'll find something funny and quotable regardless of taste.

Quick Update

Hey folks long time no speak on the Blog front.

Again i am falling behind trying to close my work tickets for the new overlords plus indulge my golf habit. Also, www.coloradogolfbuddy.com keeps getting updated with more course reviews and images.
Eventually I can get a system down to help speed that process.
Basic points for the last month.
I still hate Barry Bonds.
My step-kid is just too disrespectful for words.
Job kinda sucks due to the processes in place and retarded help desk.
I like golf. Too much liking. I might go broke playing it.
The news is getting more and more frightening with all the shit people do to each other.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Just finished it. I am sad. I actually liked those books and knowing it's over kinda sucks.
Saw Live Free or Die Hard. Liked it.
Saw Smokin Aces on DVD. Was ok, but not up to the hype.
Summer softball is almost over and then I can get ready for the next iteration - fall softball.

Woman Allegedly Attacks Visitor for Cutting Line at Magic Kingdom
ORLANDO, Fla. — Cutting in line at the Magic Kingdom landed one visitor in jail.

Police said Victoria Walker accused another visitor of cutting the line for the "Mad Tea Party" ride. Reports said she punched Aimee Krause a few times in the head before the two could be separated.

Krause said she's had seizures, memory loss and blurred vision since the May attack.

Walker was allowed to return to her Alabama home, but a judge later issued a warrant for her arrest after hearing of the severity of the injuries.

She was taken to the Orange County Jail where she bonded out of yesterday.

Here We Go AGAIN...

So the little delinquent decided to blow past her court appointed curfew, again, by three hours this time. Why couldn't she be home on time?
Her friend tossed her cell phone battery away and she had to find it.
Why didn't she call?
Well, the battery got wet so the phone didn't work.
Bull. A battery can get wet and the phone works as long as the phone isn't attached to the battery when it gets wet. Does she think we really buy that bullshit story?

Miraculously the phone started working when she went down to her room despite her saying it was broken still when she got home.

Chalk one up to selfish immaturity and deduct one from trying to be a responsible adult.

If she'd just be honest and admit she's got zero respect for her mother or even being a better person that'd be way better than being what she is being now.

Barry Bonds - All Star Asshole

I do not hate Barry Bonds because he will break Henry Aaron's all time home run record.
Nor do I hate Barry Bonds because he is allegedly on steroids or performance enhancers.
Neither do I hate Barry Bonds because of his race or even because he plays in the NL.

I hate Barry Bonds because I see him as a selfish, egotistical prick with a vagina the size of McCovey Cove.

Barry didn't want to participate in the Home Run derby this past Monday because (I quote from a washington Post article)

"Especially when you're 42. It's not that you don't want to, it's that you just can't anymore. You can't. It's too long. Too much waiting. Too much sitting around. You can't do that."

WHAT A VAGINA.

You're a professional athlete that is in much better condition at 42 that most people at 30. Heck, maybe even 25. Right now I am almost 40. I played two and a half rounds of golf and then a seven inning softball game in two days. Do you hear me bitch and moan I am too tired to do anything? No. I even played 45 holes in one day. Went out again a couple days later. So get bent, Barry.

But fine, if you're gonna be "tired" then do this.

Then lose.
Done.

The reason he should have participated was for the fans.
The fans of San Francisco.
The ones who have supported his ever enlarging head all these years.
You should NOT have been a starter in this game. There were more worthy folks that should have batted 2nd this game. You shouldn't even have been a reserve. But you were.

So have some decency and entertain your fans, yes your fans, and just hit (or try) to hit some home runs. For them. Not you, you giant pussy.
I really hope someone beans him and ends his season.
Then he can have a reason to bitch and moan about being Old and Tired.

The San Francisco Giants, minus Barry Bonds, worked out at a barren and sunny AT & T Park on Thursday. Bonds was given the day off after participating in the All-Star Game on Tuesday.

But it's Golf shit and that's the best kind of crap. Well, I was thinking on being unemployed and needing a hobby come last April and since that didn't happen I am now stuck with three, yes three, domains.

I have started my reviews of the courses I have played and blogged about the golfing experience. I am hoping to at least get this up and running so anyone looking for some northern Colorado golf courses will get a kick out of (and maybe some advice)reading about these courses.

Right now there is just one course reviewed and, man oh man, does it take a while to write up such a simple thing. At this rate my hosting fees will be up. Anyway, now there is something that competes with the GPBP blog and MySpace for my non-work attention.
